Derby County's Tom Ince has been named the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for April.
Ince scored five more goals in six April games, and three of them were Derby’s opening goals in the match. While his team play was excellent, individual runs and finishes stood out against Watford and Huddersfield Town.
Derby County Head Coach Steve McClaren said: “Tom has been fantastic for us since his arrival at the start of February.
“He has scored plenty of goals and shown his quality.
“We did really well to get him and he has repaid us handsomely with some match-winning performances and goals.”
Sky Sports’ Football League pundit Don Goodman said: “Hull boss Steve Bruce will be pleased with Tom’s performances since his loan move to the iPro Stadium.
“Steve McClaren will be hoping Ince’s red hot form continues in Derby’s final game of the season to secure the Rams a Play-Offs spot.”
Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery said: “The highly rated forward really showed his class through April, scoring five goals in six games.
“Derby have hit a rocky patch of late but Ince’s impressive attacking displays have ensured that the Rams are still sat in the Play-Off spots going into the final week of the season."
