The final weekend of the 2014/15 Sky Bet Football League season on Sky Sports

1 May 2015

When, where and who to watch as the Sky Bet Football League 2014/15 reaches its conclusion this weekend.

The final Saturday of action sees two games being screened on Sky Sports, and it’s the race for the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs that have been selected for coverage with plenty still to play for.

All Championship matches get under way at 12.15pm, with Derby County against Reading being shown on Sky Sports 1. The Rams sit in the last of the Play-Off places with 77 points and thanks to their vastly superior goal difference over the chasing Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers, they should only need a draw to see them into the end-of-season showdown.

Over on Sky Sports 2, Blackburn Rovers host Ipswich Town, with the latter also firmly in the Play-Off mix. The Tractor Boys are fifth on 78 points, and avoiding defeat would also see their season extension confirmed.
On Sunday, the attention turns to Sky Bet League 1, as the curtain draws on a dramatic campaign.

Colchester United and Preston North End are the subject of the Sky Sports cameras this time, with both clubs playing for honours at opposite ends of the table.

For Colchester, the task is simple - retaining League 1 status. The U’s need to beat Preston and hope that Notts County and Crawley Town fail to win in order to survive.

Preston’s prospects are very different, and they could be operating two leagues above Colchester next season if all goes their way on Sunday. The Lilywhites need to win to seal their place in the Sky Bet Championship, but anything less will open the door for MK Dons, who are at home to Yeovil Town, to snatch promotion at the death.
