Ipswich Town's Paul Anderson offers to pay for goal celebration damage

11 May 2015

Paul Anderson has offered to pay for damage caused when an Ipswich Town supporter was celebrating his goal against Norwich City in the first leg of their Sky Bet Championship Play-Off semi-final.

Town fan Ross Morgan accidentally punched a hole in his ceiling at his home and, after he tweeted a photograph to Anderson, the winger offered to foot the bill.

I've just punched a whole in my ceiling when we scored!!! Do I care? No! #itfc#coybpic.twitter.com/LWKDtrzKfs

Anderson equalised for the Tractor Boys late in the first half after Jonny Howson had put Norwich City in front.

@rossmorgan1989 tell me how much to fix it and I'll pay it mate 👍🏻

That's how it remained in the second half, meaning it's all to play for in the return leg at Carrow Road on Saturday, when Anderson will be hoping to give fans another reason to celebrate, without inflicting damage of course!

How many people got injured celebrating? Haha. That's all I keep getting messages. I hope you're all ok haha 😂😂
