Chris Ramsey excited about opportunity with Queens Park Rangers

19 May 2015

Chris Ramsey expressed his delight after being confirmed as head coach of Queens Park Rangers, following a three-month stint in temporary charge.

Ramsey stepped into the role in February following Harry Redknapp's departure and, despite overseeing his side's relegation back to the Sky Bet Championship, he has impressed the club's board.

The 53-year-old was delighted to put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal, and now can't wait to get started as permanent boss.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for me and one I am tremendously excited about,” said Ramsey, speaking to the club's official website.

“I enjoyed my time in temporary charge, despite the way the season panned out, and now I’m looking forward to the challenge of helping rebuild this club over the coming years.

“I am fully aware of what this club means to its supporters and I intend to do everything possible to help build a QPR team they can be proud of.”
