Dave Robertson pleased to strengthen Peterborough United squad for Sky Bet League 1 run-in

27 March 2015

Peterborough United have made a trio of loan signings ahead of the Sky Bet League 1 run-in, with Dave Robertson pleased to strengthen his squad.

Forward Luke Williams has joined from Middlesbrough, defender James Pearson makes the switch from Leicester City and experienced Alan Sheehan has swapped Bradford City for the Posh.

Interim manager Robertson told the club's official website: "Luke is an excellent addition to our strikeforce. He offers us something different. We spoke to Lee Tomlin and he gave us a glowing reference about Luke and his potential.

"Alan became available and is an excellent addition to our squad. He can operate at left-back and I felt we needed strengthening in the full-back positions because we had no natural replacements in that area should injuries occur.

"James is another player who can cover us in defensive areas. He has had a good run of form in the Leicester City Under-21 side and comes highly recommended, so we are looking forward to working with him."

All three players have joined until the end of the season and could make their Peterborough debuts against Coventry on Saturday.

Robertson’s men are in the thick of things in the Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off race, sitting sixth with eight games to go.
