Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett is looking forward to the upcoming Sky Bet Championship season, after the announcement of the 2015/16 fixtures.
Jackett's side missed out on the Play-Offs on goal difference last term, finishing seventh, and start the forthcoming season with a trip to Blackburn Rovers. They then face Newport County in the Capital One Cup, before games against relegated Premier League duo Hull City and Queens Park Rangers.
But it's a challenge Jackett is relishing, telling Wolves' official website: “We start with an away game against Blackburn Rovers who finished two places below us last season.
“That suggests a tight game and is a good challenge for us to start with.
“Then we have home games with Newport in the Capital One Cup and two teams just down from the Premier League in Hull and Queen’s Park Rangers.
“A similar thing happened at the start of last season and they are good games for us to get going.
“It is always nice to be at home on Boxing Day with Reading coming to Molineux and then also finishing at home against Sheffield Wednesday.
“When you see the fixtures it brings it home what is ahead in the Championship and it is an exciting challenge and one we are looking forward to.”
