Ben Pringle and Andy Lonergan have targeted a return to the top table for Fulham, and both new signings are looking forward to getting started at Craven Cottage.Pringle and Lonergan penned two-year-deals with the London outfit, after seeing their contracts expire at Rotherham United and Bolton Wanderers respectively.
The pair bolster Kit Symons’ options for the current campaign and Pringle says he is very excited about the upcoming season.
“I’m buzzing. As soon as I knew that there was interest from Fulham I wanted to come here straight away,” he said to the club’s official site. “You just have to look at the size of the club and where they’ve been in the past – hopefully we can get there again before too long.
“I like to think I’ll bring energy to the team. I try to make things happen, I can cross a ball okay and try to get in little pockets.”
Lonergan, meanwhile, will be hoping to influence matters at the other end of the field.
The experienced stopper will be in competition for a place in the team with Marcus Bettinelli, and he is hoping to play a big part as Fulham go for promotion in the forthcoming Sky Bet Championship campaign.
“I’m delighted to get it all sorted,” Lonergan said. “I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started. It’s a very well respected, historic club and it’s a place where everyone would like to play. We have a lot of potential to hopefully get back to where the club belongs.”
