Alan Browne predicts bright future at Preston North End

24 June 2015

Alan Browne is anticipating further success with Preston North End, after signing a new deal at the club.

Browne has committed his future to the Lilywhites, penning a contract which keeps him at Deepdale until 2018.

It is a boost for Preston heading into the new campaign, which they will spend in the Sky Bet Championship following their promotion last term, and Browne insists that his team are not in the division simply to make up the numbers.

"It's great to see so many people sign back on,” he told the club’s official site.

“We've talked time and time again about how much togetherness there is in this squad and I think the lads committing themselves to the club shows that and hopefully we can stick together and go again this season.

"I can't wait [for the new season], obviously we're going to be up against tougher opposition, we will come across teams who play a different style of football and we will have to adapt to that.

"There might not be many people that think we can challenge this season but I firmly believe we can.

"We're not just coming up as a League 1 club just to be in it, we want to go again and look to get promoted again this season."
