Josh Windass couldn't hide his delight when Accrington Stanley were drawn against Hull City in Round 1 of the 2015/16 Capital One Cup.
The 21-year-old is the son of Tigers hero Dean, and the First Round tie will give him a chance to get one over on his dad, who is now an ambassador for City.“I can’t believe it, it’s a quality draw,” Josh told Stanley's official website. “I wanted Huddersfield which is my former club but Hull is even better.”
Windass junior enjoyed a rise to prominence in the second half of last season, bagging six goals in 15 impressive appearances for John Coleman's side.

He's now preparing himself for a successful Sky Bet League 2 season, and has set his sights on finding the net in Round 1 of the Cup against Hull, in a match that will be played during the week commencing 10th August.
“It would be a dream to score against them. I have had loads of texts and calls, including my dad.
“He comes to watch me when he can but he will have mixed loyalties for this one. I guess he will be supporting Hull so I will have to do my best to upset him.”
