Sam Clucas aiming to impress at Hull City

28 July 2015

Sam Clucas is looking to use all the experience he has gained to his advantage at Hull City.

Clucas has joined the Tigers from Chesterfield on a three-year deal, and the move represents the biggest step of his career so far.

The 24-year-old hasn't played in the Sky Bet Championship before, but he is hoping that learning his trade at League 1 and League 2 level will aid him as he pushes for a place in Steve Bruce’s starting line-up.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at my last three clubs and hopefully I can put everything I’ve learnt in the last few years to good use whilst playing for Hull City,” he said to his new club’s official site.

“Signing for a club like this is a big step up but I think I’ve shown in the last couple of years that, when I have stepped up a level, I’ve been able to handle it. Hopefully I can do that once again here.

“The first aim is try and get a place in the starting line-up - hopefully I can nail down a position and prove my worth to the side.

“The club deserves to be in the Premier League and hopefully we can get the job done this season to ensure that we return to the top-flight at the first time of asking.”
