Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Dominic Iorfa says that he is highly motivated for the campaign ahead, after having a fine breakthrough season last term.
Iorfa progressed from a youth-team prospect into a first-team regular last season, playing 22 times for Kenny Jackett’s Sky Bet Championship side, and he was rewarded when being named The Football League's Young Player of the Month for January. That taste of senior football has left him craving more, and the 20-year-old England youth international is determined to kick-on to ensure that he retains his place in the starting line-up.
“Last season was a good one for me and now I am looking to kick on from there,” Iorfa said to Wolves’ official site.
“The aim for me is to try and be better than I was last season. I know people know more about me now and expect things from me but I don’t see that as a pressure – it’s something good really.
“Last year I came into the team as an unknown really and played quite a lot of games. Now people might know more about me but it just motivates me really to aim for more success and to kick on. I just want to play as many games as I can and, when I do play, perform to the best of my abilities.”
