Adam Morgan already feeling at home with Accrington Stanley

29 July 2015

New addition Adam Morgan has settled in quickly at Accrington Stanley, after arriving at the Crown Ground earlier this summer.

After two years at Yeovil Town, which included a loan spell at Scottish Premier League outfit St. Johnstone, Morgan was snapped up by Stanley boss John Coleman, and the 21-year-old is already enjoying his new surroundings.

“I’m loving it up here. I feel at home, the lads have made me feel part of the team straight away and I’m just looking forward to the season and hopefully making a good start,” Morgan told the club's official website.

“I needed a new start. I’m really happy that I chose Accrington for that start. There are a lot of scousers here and a lot of welcoming people and I feel like I’m friends with everyone already and a part of the club.”

The Reds finished 17th in Sky Bet League 2 last term, but the former Liverpool trainee believes his new side possess the firepower to improve on that position this time around.

“We’ve got a lot of good attacking options,” the striker added.

“Terry Gornell’s been excellent in pre-season and I know Billy [Kee] has scored a lot of goals at this level, and we have some great young players too.

“We’re always going to try to take the game to teams but that doesn’t mean we want to concede goals. I think we’ve seen in pre-season that our defence has the potential to be rock solid. We know that we’re part of a team and I’m sure we can all play our part.”
