Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month nominations

6 January 2015

The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for December.

Paris Cowan-Hall (Wycombe Wanderers)

Cowan-Hall has flourished since moving into an attacking trio. Able to run at defenders using his explosive pace and trickery, he has added goals to his game - the pick of his three was a superb long-range curler in the 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley. His form was recognised by Millwall, who signed him on a two-and-a-half-year deal in early January.

Nathaniel Knight-Percival (Shrewsbury Town)

The 27-year-old has embraced Mickey Mellon’s 3-5-2 zonal formation to spread a calming influence on his team-mates, reading the game, breaking up play and using his pace to good effect as Shrewsbury kept four clean sheets in as many games.

Alex MacDonald (Burton Albion)

MacDonald's tricky wing play was instrumental in Burton retaining their place in the automatic promotion places, setting up a goal against Exeter City with a fine run and scoring twice in the 4-0 win over Hartlepool United, including a sumptuous curling effort.

Luke Summerfield (York City)

York were unbeaten in Summerfield's three games. A creative force, his distribution and long passing were impressive but it was his two goals - a stunning free-kick equaliser at Bury and a sweet half-volley at Carlisle United - that caught the eye.

The winners will be announced on Friday.
