The nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for December.
Harry Arter (AFC Bournemouth)The longest-serving player in Bournemouth’s current squad scored in five successive games in December. His unrelenting hustle, harrying and tackling of opponents was complemented by a series of sweet left-foot strikes.
Bradley Johnson (Norwich City)
Another midfielder to find the net five times during the month, Johnson was moved around positionally but showed his eye for goal throughout, surging into the box at every turn and picking his spot from range against Millwall and Reading.
Andy Lonergan (Bolton Wanderers)
Lonergan's acrobatics and athleticism helped Bolton move up the table by preserving vital points against Reading and Ipswich Town with important saves. He came off his line and used his imposing frame to keep three clean sheets in five games.
Daryl Murphy (Ipswich Town)
Murphy's hold-up play has long since been coveted and the Irishman is in the goalscoring form of his career, finishing with head and feet. He added another six in five December games, including two each against Leeds United and Brentford.
The winners will be announced on Friday.
