Sheffield United and Tottenham Hotspur will resume their Capital One Cup Semi-Final on Wednesday, with the latter holding a slender 1-0 advantage.
The pair will battle it out at Bramall Lane for the first time in nearly eight years in front of a 28,000 sell-out crowd, and a place at Wembley on 1st March awaits the winner.Despite losing last week, the Blades will be confident after they matched their top-flight opponents for the majority of the match - Andros Townsend scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, and that was all that separated the two sides.
United are fighting for a place in their first ever League Cup Final and, should they turn the tie on its head to reach Wembley, it will be their third Premier League scalp in the competition this season, having overcome West Ham United and Southampton en route to the last four.
Manager Nigel Clough has played a big role in that success, and goes into the match having won 14 of his 18 cup fixtures as manager of the South Yorkshire club.
Spurs have a decent record of their own in the League Cup, and were consecutive finalists in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons, winning the former 2-1 against rivals Chelsea before falling on penalties to Manchester United the following year. Overall, they’ve made the Final on seven occasions, lifting the trophy four times.

LENNON – THE LONE SURVIVOR
Aaron Lennon is the only player from both the successful Tottenham side that won the competition in 2008 and the one that was chosen for the 2009 Final still appearing regularly for the club.
Full-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto is still on the books at Spurs, and he appeared in the 2009 showdown at Wembley, but he has not played in the first team for over 18 months.
Lennon, who was on the bench for last week’s 1-0 first-leg win, has appeared 21 times in the League Cup but has only ever netted once - he got on the scoresheet in Spurs' famous 5-1 second leg triumph over rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane in 2008.
HOMECOMING
The second leg will see Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker return to the club that helped shape his footballing career, having spent 11 years with Sheffield United.
Walker joined the Blades as a seven-year-old and appeared 35 times in the red and white stripes. The now 24-year-old has also been to Wembley with the club, after he started the 2009 Championship Play-Off Final against Burnley, when United lost 1-0.
Since 2011, Walker has been a regular in the Tottenham team and has received international recognition for his performances, winning 10 caps for England.
