MK Dons boss Karl Robinson 'can't wait' to work with Devante Cole

23 January 2015

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson is relishing the chance to work with Devante Cole, following his arrival on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.

Cole, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Dons' Sky Bet League 1 rivals Barnsley earlier this season, could make his debut against the Tykes at stadiummk on Saturday.

The 19-year-old can play as a striker or out on the left wing and Milton Keynes manager Robinson has been an admirer of the player for some time.

"Devante is someone I've wanted to bring to the football club for a long while," Robinson told the club's official website.

"He's an exciting youngster who can play either on the wing or up-front, he's quick and he knows how to score goals.

"He's held in high regard by Manchester City and the FA, having represented England at all levels from Under-16s to Under-19s, and I can't wait to work with him for the remainder of the season."

Cole, son of former Newcastle and Manchester United striker Andrew, scored seven goals in 17 starts for Barnsley - including one against the Dons in September as Robinson's side won 5-3 at Oakwell.
