The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for January.Ben Coker (Southend United)
Coker was an important influence at both ends of the pitch in January for Southend. He returned from long-term injury to solidify the left-back berth, and produced a remarkable hat-trick of assists in the 3-2 win at Oxford United – all from driving runs and crosses.
Rory Donnelly (Tranmere Rovers)
Donnelly’s three goals in as many starts eased Rovers away from the relegation zone with wins over Accrington Stanley and Exeter City. Calm in front of goal and with quick feet, he has made the loan transition from Swansea look easy.
Andy Drury (Luton Town)
Drury made a classy contribution to Luton’s promotion push with two goals during January, including a sweet finish in the 1-0 win at Plymouth Argyle. His calmness on the ball and passing ability also helped him to provide two assists in the month.
Matt Ingram (Wycombe Wanderers)
Ingram kept Wycombe in the top three with a string of impressive displays. He conceded just one goal in five games, preserving a 0-0 draw at Mansfield Town with a stunning reflex double save, and the win over York City with a vital late stop.
The winners will be announced on Friday.
