Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn salutes Luke Murphy

11 February 2015

Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn has expressed his delight with Luke Murphy after the midfielder got on the scoresheet once again in a 2-0 win at Reading.

The result was Leeds' third victory in four league outings, which has seen them ease their relegation fears to open up a five-point gap above the drop zone.

Redfearn hailed the in-form Murphy, who now has three goals in his last five games, and believes he brings a different dimension to the United midfield.

The manager told leedsunited.com: "He’s playing out of his skin at the moment and Tuesday night was no exception.

“It was a great strike for the goal, but his all-round performance was good.

"He’s a great build for a midfielder – he’s a physical presence and wins headers and 50/50s.

"He’s got this range to his passing and he’s really starting to grow into what we’re doing.

"You can see that he’s enjoying himself."
