Goals, goals, goals in the Sky Bet Championship

It's been goals galore in the Sky Bet Championship this season and we are now on the verge of hitting the 1,000 landmark!

The current total stands at 984, at an average of 2.65 per match, so the 1,000 mark is set to be smashed this weekend with a full programme of games taking place.

Promotion-chasing trio AFC Bournemouth (65), Watford (63) and Derby County (61) are the highest-scorers in the division and the Hornets are one of only two teams yet to play out a 0-0 draw in 2014/15, along with Fulham.

The match featuring the most goals involved Watford as they thumped Blackpool 7-2 in January despite trailing 2-0 at half-time, while the Tangerines also played their part in another goal-filled game last weekend, when they shared a 4-4 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The biggest away winning margin was notched by Eddie Howe's Bournemouth, who hammered Birmingham City 8-0 in late October for a club record victory, and the highest margin of victory at home is five goals, which has been registered by Derby, Birmingham, Norwich twice and Watford twice.
