Adam Murray wants more from Mansfield Town attack

17 February 2015

Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray says he is looking for more from his attack as his side prepare to host Luton Town on Tuesday evening.

The Stags conceded a stoppage-time equaliser to Northampton Town in their latest outing, meaning they sit just two points above the Sky Bet league 2 drop zone, in 21st.

Murray believes his side were worthy of all three points in that game, and that his players have shown signs of improvement of late.

“After the game [against Northampton] it was a feeling of enormous frustration mixed with a little bit of anger," he said.

"But going over at it and looking at it in a different perspective, I feel it will be a big point for us.

“It’s difficult having the three points taken away from you, but overall I was pleased with the performance. I think everyone got anxious when we were leading 1-0 and that will happen until we start to get some results.

“We are nowhere near where I want us to be, but we are showing signs of what we can do.

“I think we need to be more penetrative going forward and our front boys need to be a bit braver and help Vadaine [Oliver] out more.”
