Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest share spoils in #10in10 opener

11 December 2015

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest shared the spoils on Friday night, drawing 1-1 under the lights at Molineux.

The match was the first of 10 Football League fixtures to be screened live on Sky Sports over the next 10 days, and provided a taster of what is in store over the festive period.

Wolves took the lead after quarter of an hour when Ethan Ebanks-Landell nodded home, and the hosts maintained that advantage for much of the match.

However, the second-half introduction of Dexter Blackstock by Forest boss Dougie Freedman proved to be an inspired decision.

The striker was brought on in the 77th minute, and had levelled things just four minutes later with a close-range finish from Henri Lansbury's corner.

Both sides searched for a winner but it was in vain, as the game ended a goal apiece.

In the night's other fixture, Blackburn Rovers continued their unbeaten start under Paul Lambert with a 1-0 win over Rotherham United - Luke Hyam's own goal proving to be the difference at Ewood Park.
