The R's have a good record at home against Brighton – they haven't lost to the Seagulls on home soil in nine league meetings, stretching back to September 1957.
Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton's 2-2 draw against Derby last time out saw them maintain their unbeaten start to the season and they sit top of the pile on 42 points – two ahead of nearest challengers Middlesbrough.
That result saw them overtake QPR for the most unbeaten games at the start of a Championship campaign – Rangers went 19 undefeated at the start of 2010/11 – but manager Chris Hughton is wary of the threat that Hasselbaink's side will pose on Tuesday.
The Seagulls boss reserved praise for his opposite number ahead of the match, telling seagulls.co.uk: “I applaud Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink for the way he has gone into management.
“He did an excellent job at Burton Albion and no matter what anyone says, it was a difficult job. The step up was correct for him and he took his time. He is a very good football man and when you’re on the back of the success he had at Burton, he’ll want to install the same ethics and qualities at QPR.
“He will be successful, but he will find out how difficult this league is."
Don't miss it!
