Chris Hughton (Brighton & Hove Albion)
As well as basing his team’s attacking flair on thrilling wing play, he has instilled a resilience and determination. Eight points from 12 saw Brighton stay top and extend their unbeaten start to the season to 18 games.
Aitor Karanka (Middlesbrough)
Nine points from four games lifted Boro into the automatic promotion places and showed that any hangover from May’s Play-Off Final defeat is long since forgotten. His emphasis on defensive stability brought three clean sheets.
Mick McCarthy (Ipswich Town)
Never one to panic, his calmness under pressure and belief in his players allowed them to flourish in November and pick up 10 points from a maximum 12, which included three-goal wins at Rotherham United and Charlton Athletic.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
