Chris Wilder will celebrate his 100th match in charge of Northampton Town this weekend when they host Portsmouth – and it's been some journey!
Wilder swapped Oxford United for the Cobblers in January 2014 when the club sat rock-bottom of The Football League. He inspired a turnaround during the second half of that campaign to place 21st, three points above the drop, before leading them to a mid-table finish last time around.
And this season has been a rollercoaster in itself with off-field turmoil, which eventually saw a change in ownership - but it all seems to have clicked over recent weeks as Wilder prepares to clock up match 100.
His side have notched seven league wins in eight, including five successive victories, and sit at the summit of Sky Bet League 2 – the first time they've topped a table since January 1991 – after beating Luton Town last week.
