Wycombe Wanderers ball boy becomes internet sensation after joining in with team’s celebrations

25 August 2015

Taylor Hunt has become an internet sensation after joining in with the players’ celebrations during Wycombe Wanderers’ match against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

The Chairboys had looked to be slipping to their first league defeat of the season against the Daggers, but a header from Aaron Pierre in the 95th minute rescued a point for Gareth Ainsworth’s men.

The strike sent the home fans at Adams Park into delirium, and few supporters celebrated more passionately than ball boy Hunt.

The youngster sprung from his seat behind the goal to race down the touchline and jumped into Pierre’s arms, before he was mobbed by the rest of Wycombe’s players.

It was a wonderful moment, which encapsulated the emotions that football can evoke, and the video has been viewed thousands of times online – with social media users being keen to share the clip.

Hunt, himself, also took to Twitter to describe what will surely be a day he’ll never forget.

Great day at Wycombe today glad I got in with the celebrations as ballboy @wwfcofficial@AaronPierre6pic.twitter.com/7PCtN4cdxo
