With only one week left to sign up, fans around the world are being encouraged not miss out on the fantastic opportunity to be a part of the Football League’s global campaign to Stand Up & Be Counted.Stand Up & Be Counted is a campaign launched to encourage the global fan base of the 72 Football League clubs to register the club they support along with their country and city of residence via www.representyourclub.com.
In return, fans gain the opportunity to be entered into a competition to win a trip for two to the United Kingdom, including flights, accommodation and match tickets to see their team play. More than 50,000 fans have already entered across 246 countries around the world, placing their teams on the map.
The site includes a leader board so fans can see where their club’s global fan base ranks compared to the other 71 Football League clubs. The leaderboard currently shows Notts County at the top both, with a total of 6,154 fans signing up around the world, thanks largely to the unique connection to Juventus and the Italian Magpies.
The highest team from the Championship is Leeds United with 6,002 fans registering, and the top club from League 1 is Sheffield United with 1,115 fans signing up.
The site also features an interactive map displaying where in the world fans are from. The top three countries with the most sign-ups are Australia (8,139), the United States (7,203) and Italy (3,553).
To be in with a chance of winning the prize and to Stand Up & Be Counted for their club fans need to register on www.representyourclub.com before the competition closes on 26th August.
