Sky Bet League 1: Match Round 2 review

16 August 2015

Coventry City recorded the biggest win of the day on Saturday, brushing Millwall aside with a rampant 4-0 display at The Den.

Lee Gregory's early penalty was saved by Lee Burge, and the Sky Blues made the Lions pay soon after with an Adam Armstrong effort.

Armstrong – who bagged a brace in Match Round 1 – scored again in their first away success, and was joined on the scoresheet by Ruben Lameiras and Jim O'Brien.

Tony Mowbray's men moved top of the table with the triumph, and Rochdale are the only other team to join them on six points following a 2-0 win at Blackpool.

Elsewhere, Marcus Maddison inspired Peterborough United to a comeback as they overturned a 1-0 deficit to defeat Colchester United, and Swindon also fought back to earn a result – coming from 2-0 down to share the points on the road at Bury.

On Sunday, Wigan Athletic and Doncaster Rovers played out a 0-0 draw.
