Ipswich Town moved to the top of the Sky Bet Championship table after a 2-0 victory over Burnley in Match Round 3.
The Tractor Boys scored two quick-fire goals through Freddie Sears and David McGoldrick to launch themselves to the summit of the division.Milton Keynes Dons were the only other team to win on Tuesday, with Daniel Powell scoring the only goal in their 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers.
Elsewhere, Johnny Russell netted a late equaliser for Derby County against Middlesbrough in a night where the points where generally shared – with five draws being played out.
The drama continued on Wednesday, and comebacks were on the agenda for the second night running. Queens Park Rangers completed a Matty Phillips-inspired turnaround at Molineux, coming from two down to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 for their first win of the season, while Bristol City also bounced back from a 2-0 deficit, to draw 2-2 at home to Leeds United.
Hull City narrowly missed out on the chance to top the Sky Bet Championship table on goal difference, but still edged their way past Fulham courtesy of a late Sone Aluko strike. At Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
