Midfielder Jimmy Ryan believes that Fleetwood Town have already proven their attacking prowess after firing home eight goals in a week.
The Cod Army beat Colchester United 4-0 at the weekend, backing up their 4-3 midweek victory over Bury.It makes Fleetwood Sky Bet League 1’s joint-second top scorers with nine goals and Ryan, who netted a stunning effort in the win over the U's, is confident in his side’s goalscoring threat.
“There were a few people saying we may struggle for goals this season but the last two games proves there is goals in this team and hopefully we can carry it on,” Ryan told the club’s official site.
“We can’t ask much more than taking six points from the last two games.
“The lads have confidence in their own ability. We know what we’re capable of and what we can do, and we can give anyone in the league a game.
“We’ve proved that up to now, we’ve put four away on Saturday and four away against Bury, which isn’t easy.”
