According to a Football League survey, Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes is the player that most fans of Sky Bet Championship teams would like to see at their club.Rhodes has scored 73 times in 134 league appearances since joining Blackburn back in 2012, and it seems his goalscoring instincts have not gone unnoticed with rival supporters.
The Scotland international has gained a strong reputation over the years, after making a name for himself as a prolific scorer during his time at Huddersfield Town, and there are plenty of supporters envious of Blackburn for having a player of Rhodes’ quality in their ranks.
Also on the list of the most wanted Championship players, are Queens Park Rangers front man Charlie Austin, Derby County duo Tom Ince and Will Hughes, as well as Wolverhampton Wanderers' new recruit Adam Le Fondre.
In Sky Bet League 1, attacking players were also the sought-after stars, with Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp the most in demand.
It means that there would have been plenty of envious eyes looking on when the Blades were able to snap the experienced forward up from Leeds United earlier in the summer.
Another deal which is likely to have left many Football League supporters green-eyed was Wigan Athletic’s signing of Will Grigg. The striker, who stared for Milton Keynes Dons last term, was League 1’s second most wanted player.
Followers of League 1 clubs also suggested that they would like to see Rochdale’s Ian Henderson, Bury’s Tom Pope and Bradford City’s James Hanson representing their respective team.
In Sky Bet League 2's 2014/15 top scorer, Matt Tubbs, was the most popular player in the division.
His haul of 21 goals last time around, and his consistently lethal finishing, appears to have caught fans’ attentions.
Alongside him as Sky Bet League 2’s most in demand stars is his team-mate Gary Roberts, as well as Plymouth Argyle front man Reuben Reid, AFC Wimbledon powerhouse Adebayo Akinfenwa and veteran Dagenham & Redbridge hitman Jamie Cureton.
