Supporters of Sky Bet Championship clubs believe that Middlesbrough are the most likely team to win the division this season.
According to a survey conducted by The Football League, 39 per cent of Championship fans believe that Aitor Karanka’s side will come out on top during the 2015/16 campaign.Middlesbrough have added the likes of Stewart Downing and Jack Stephens to the group which led them to the Play-Off Final last campaign, and they are very well fancied as a result.
Championship fans are also predicting productive campaigns for Derby County, Hull City, Queens Park Rangers and Burnley.
In Sky Bet League 1 Sheffield United and Wigan Athletic took the bulk of the votes, with the pair being backed by 76 per cent of supporters.
Forty-four per cent of fans believe the Blades will finish on top of the League 1 pile, while 32 per cent are backing Gary Caldwell’s charges to lift the title.
Millwall, Swindon Town and Barnsley are also tipped to have strong seasons.
Portsmouth are the overwhelming favourites to take the Sky Bet League 2 honours, after receiving 35 per cent of supporters’ backing.
Pompey have assembled a strong squad and with Paul Cook at the helm, followers of the division clearly believe they will be a threat.
Luton Town were the next most popular choice, while the new-look Notts County, Leyton Orient and Wycombe Wanderers are also well regarded.
