Sky Sports have selected the matches they will screen live in Round 2 of the Capital One Cup.
The cameras will be present to film Luton Town’s clash with Stoke City on Tuesday 25th August, and Barnsley’s match against Everton on Wednesday 26th August.Both ties kick-off at 7:45pm, and offer viewers the chance to see Football League sides test themselves against Premier League opposition.
Luton take on Stoke as one of 10 Sky Bet League 2 sides left in the competition, and they will be keen to cause a shock.
Mark Hughes’ side have been active this summer, bringing in the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Ibrahim Afellay and Marco van Ginkel, but the trip to Kenilworth Road promises to be a tough one after the Hatters comfortably saw off Bristol City in Round 1.
Barnsley’s match against Everton will serve as a homecoming for two former Tykes players.
John Stones and Mason Holgate have both left Oakwell to move to Merseyside and they will be keen to impress upon their return to the club where they made their names.
