The Capital One Cup returns this week with 24 Round 2 games taking place across Tuesday and Wednesday.
The 12 Premier League sides not involved in European competitions this season enter proceedings, and they will face the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League 1 and Sky Bet League 2 sides that were successful in Round 1.Capital One Cup Round 2 fixtures (kick-off times are 7.45pm unless stated):

There are plenty of previous League Cup winners who start their Capital One Cup campaign on Tuesday, including Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City, who face Sky Bet League 2 opposition in the form of Notts County, York City and Port Vale respectively.

Bury, Exeter City, Hartlepool United and Northampton Town are among other League 2 sides who take on Premier League opposition, as are Luton Town, who face Stoke City at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday in a game being screened live on Sky Sports.

Milton Keynes Dons famously beat Manchester United 4-0 in Round 2 a year ago and face an all-Championship clash with Cardiff City at stadiummk this time around, while Brighton & Hove Albion and Walsall, who have both made an unbeaten start to league life, go toe-to-toe at Banks's Stadium.

Live on Sky Sports
Round 2 will see Luton Town and Stoke City televised live on Sky Sports on Tuesday, followed by Barnsley entertaining Everton on Wednesday. The draw for Round 3 will follow the conclusion of the action on Tuesday.
