92Live – highlights from Sky Sports News' marathon day of coverage

5 August 2015

Sky Sports News visited all 72 Football League clubs on Tuesday 4th August to celebrate the beginning of the new English league season.

Reporters made their way up, down and across the country on all forms of transport to bring news and interviews, and here are some of the highlights from a marathon day of coverage.

Captaincy appointments

Hartlepool United were one of the first clubs to be visited during 92Live and manager Ronnie Moore took the opportunity to appoint the new club captain for the coming season, with Blackpool following suit later in the day.

Getting among the action

Nottingham Forest's Jamie Ward was involved in a sparring bout with none other than Forest fan and former World Champion boxer Carl Froch, but the Sky Sports News reporters were just as involved in proceedings as the players.

James Cooper took an early morning ice bath for a chat with Bury boss David Flitcroft, while Jamie Weir took to the pitch, testing himself in goal against Leyton Orient's set-piece specialist Dean Cox.
