Wolverhampton Wanderers' Kenny Jackett relishing Sky Bet Championship promotion battle

8 April 2015

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett says he is relishing the pressure of the chase for promotion to the Premier League.

Jackett watched his side score a last-gasp winner against Leeds United on Easter Monday, after they had thrown away a 3-1 lead to be level at 3-3.

The point gained moved Wolves into the Play-Off places, in sixth, in what is arguably the most enthralling battle for promotion the Sky Bet Championship has ever witnessed.

Jackett said: "Winning keeps us and puts us around some very good teams at the top part of the Championship which I think is an excellent standard and very competitive.

"For us now, the big thing is that our season is in front of us and with five games to go we are pleased to say that. We have got some big games coming up.

"We are delighted to be in there and we have worked hard to be as competitive as we are and we have to look forward.

"It is great that our season is ahead of us. It is tight between a number of teams. They all have a chance and I am pleased to say that we are one of them.

"To win four games in a row is terrific form and long may it continue. We have to keep pushing and get as many points as possible."
