AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has been named the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month for March.
Howe’s side roared back to the head of the Sky Bet Championship table in March with 13 points from five games and a 15-3 goal differential. The most impressive result was their 3-0 victory over promotion rivals Middlesbrough.George Burley, who chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel, said: “Eddie has done a fantastic job this season.
“Not only has he taken Bournemouth to within reach of automatic promotion, but he has developed a style of play which is terrific to watch. March was another great month with 13 points from five matches.”
Sky Sports’ Football League pundit Don Goodman said: “Eddie Howe’s second Manager of the Month award of the campaign comes at a crucial time of the season.
“Bournemouth shook off two defeats and a draw at the end of February to regain their position at the top of the table and put their destiny in their own hands for automatic promotion. At this stage of the season that could prove vital.”
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Manager of the Month is chaired by former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, along with Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
