Rochdale have signed Blackburn Rovers defender Jack O'Connell on loan for a second time, subject to Football League clearance.
O'Connell, 20, who spent last season on loan at Spotland, will stay with the Sky Bet League 1 side until January.
He was an ever-present in Dale manager Keith Hill's promotion-winning side last season, making 45 appearances in all competitions.
O'Connell progressed through Blackburn's academy system. He has appeared once for Rovers' first team this season when he started against Scunthorpe in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
