Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month for August.
Ferguson masterminded a flying start with four wins out of five to make light of the departure of last season's leading scorer Britt Assombalonga.
He fitted new boy Kyle Vassell seamlessly into the Posh attacking way to finish August at the head Sky Bet League 1.
Dave Bassett, who chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel, said: "Ferguson's Peterborough side have continued where they left off last season by scoring goals in abundance whilst playing attractive football.
"Winning three matches away from home against high caliber teams indicates Posh will once again be a team to watch this campaign."
Sky Sports' Football League pundit Don Goodman said: "Sitting pretty at the top of the table, Ferguson has put together a side that are genuine title contenders."
Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery said: "Peterborough's treble of wins away at Rochdale, Bradford and Colchester would have paid out at a handsome 14/1.
"Ferguson's decision to thrust Kyle Vassell into void left by the Britt Assombalonga has paid dividends."
