Gary Rowett has spoken about his excitement at returning to Birmingham City as manager in his first full interview since taking the job at St Andrew's.
The former Blues defender has been brought in from the dugout at Burton Albion as Birmingham look to recover from a crushing 8-0 home defeat at the hands of AFC Bournemouth. The Blues currently lie 23rd in the Sky Bet Championship table.
Rowett has taken the helm at the West Midlands club following the departure of previous boss Lee Clark.
The 40-year-old returns to St Andrew's 14 years after being sold to Leicester City. He made 106 appearances for Birmingham City between 1998 and 2000.
