Scunthorpe United have signed former Blackpool midfielder Isaiah Osbourne on a short-term contract.
Osbourne becomes new manager Mark Robins' first signing for the Iron, after putting pen to paper on a deal until January. The 26-year-old former Aston Villa trainee has been a free agent since leaving Sky Bet Championship club Blackpool at the end of last season.
Earlier this week it looked like Osbourne would sign for Scunthorpe's League 1 rivals Port Vale, where he had been training.
Vale are thought to have offered the box-to-box midfielder a contract, but he is understood to have turned down the opportunity in favour of a move to Glanford Park.
Osbourne could appear against Port Vale as early as next week, when Scunthorpe head west to face the Valiants on Tuesday night.
