Simon Grayson was far from happy despite watching his Preston North End side come from behind to claim a 4-2 win against Colchester United.
Rhys Healey put the visitors in front early on and while strikes from Scott Wiseman and Alan Browne soon had the Lillywhites in front they were once again pegged back by Alex Gilbey's 25-yard stunner. After the break Paul Gallagher and Chris Humphrey sealed the win for Grayson's side as they move into the Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off spots.
And despite seeing his side maintain their unbeaten home record, Grayson admitted there was still much for his side to improve on.
"There were plenty of incidents and goalmouth opportunities and it was probably a bit too open for a manager," he said.
"But we've won the game - we got some good goals and we hit the bar a few times.
"The bigger picture is that we need to do one or two things better, to prevent the opposition from having the opportunities they did."
