Kit Symons enjoys Craven Cottage cheers

2 October 2014

Kit Symons watched his Fulham team score four against Bolton Wanderers and felt they must have impressed the decision-makers.

Cottagers chairman Shahid Khan has assembled a five-man panel to help him choose the club's next manager following the disastrous appointment of Felix Magath.

Caretaker boss Symons has now guided previously winless Fulham to back-to-back victories after they secured a comprehensive 4-0 success against the Trotters.

"That performance and result certainly won't do me any harm," said Symons.

"When I took over in I tried to galvanise the club and get everyone pulling together, and to start winning games, and on both counts it's going pretty well so far.

"It's a great feeling hearing the fans sing my name. I've had stadiums booing me before, when I played, so it's nice to have one cheering me now."
