Birmingham City caretaker manager Malcolm Crosby admitted responsibility for his side's crushing 8-0 defeat at home to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
Crosby, who took charge of the Blues following the departure of Lee Clark, confessed he felt embarrassed by the heavy defeat - which was sparked by a goal for the visitors and a sending off for the home side all within the first five minutes. The caretaker boss said: "I picked the team and thought it could win. You cannot put the blame on anything which had taken place before the game.
"I have to take the blame because I picked the team. Obviously the players have to take responsibility because they didn't play well."
