Coventry City have signed Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Madine on a month's loan. The 24-year-old has found his opportunities limited at Hillsborough this term, and finished last season on loan at former club Carlisle United.
Madine made nine substitute appearances, without scoring, during a three-month loan spell at the Sky Blues during 2009-10.
Coventry boss Steven Pressley told the club's official site: "We're delighted to bring in a player of Gary's quality. He is a player we've been tracking for some time and we've always been aware of the quality he has.
"We made enquiries about availability in the summer but remained very much in Sheffield Wednesday's plans at the time.
"He is a player with a proven goal-scoring record at this level and certainly brings great presence and physicality to the team."
Madine has scored once in 13 games for Wednesday this season and stands to make his debut in Coventry's Sky Bet League 1 trip to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
