We look ahead to the weekend action in Sky Bet League 2.
Friday 28th November 2014Accrington Stanley v Exeter City – 7pm
Stanley (12th – 26 points): Have been transformed under John Coleman and overcame Cambridge 2-1 last time out to record their third win in their last five games. They've won six of nine at the Crown ground so far, losing only twice, and have triumphed 2-1 in their last three matches on home soil.
The Grecians (9th – 27 points): Are one of the division's form teams and came from two goals down to beat Shrewsbury 3-2 last weekend, extending their unbeaten run to six outings. Forward Alex Nicholls has returned on loan from Northampton, while former Republic of Ireland international Clinton Morrison has signed on non-contract terms.

AFC Wimbledon v Cambridge United
The Dons (16th – 24 points): Drew 0-0 with Oxford last time out, taking their 2014/15 record so far to six wins, six draws and six defeats after 18 outings. They've only won once in six, though, scoring just three times in that period. Defender Jake Goodman has arrived on loan from Millwall.
The U's (13th – 24 points): Their 2-1 reverse to Accrington last Saturday means they've alternated between defeats and wins over their five most recent outings. They are yet to beat Wimbledon after four clashes, suffering two defeats and recording two draws.
A Football League first: All four of those meetings came in the Conference, so this will be the first time AFC Wimbledon and Cambridge have locked horns in The Football League.
Bury v Dagenham & Redbridge
The Shakers (7th – 30 points): Back-to-back defeats, most recently against Newport, have seen Bury slip to seventh, but they've won seven of nine at home. They've reacted to those losses by bringing in Adam El-Abd and Robert Milson on loan, from Bristol City and Rotherham respectively.
The Daggers (21st – 18 points): Ended a five-game winless spell by overcoming Carlisle 4-2 last weekend. Manager Wayne Burnett was busy on loan deadline day, bringing in Portsmouth's Patrick Agyemang, Alex Jakubiak from Watford and Joe Widdowson, from their weekend opponents Bury.
Just the one: Bury have only won one of the eight meetings with Dagenham, with the Daggers running out victors on three occasions, alongside four draws.
Carlisle United v Newport County
The Cumbrians (22nd – 18 points): That 4-2 reverse to Dagenham was a blow to Carlisle, who had won two of their previous three. Keith Curle's men are on form at home, however, winning four of their most recent five outings at Brunton Park.
The Exiles (8th – 28 points): Have built momentum to move within touching distance of the Play-Off places. They haven't lost in seven, with four wins and three draws, and got the better of Bury last weekend. Aaron O'Connor bagged a hat-trick against the Shakers and could lead the line once more.
Nice to meet you: This will be the first ever competitive meeting between Carlisle and Newport.
Cheltenham Town v Oxford United
The Robins (18th – 22 points): Four successive Sky Bet League 2 defeats brought an end to Mark Yates' reign, and Paul Buckle was installed as the new boss at Whaddon Road. Buckle's immediate task will be to arrest the Robins' slide that has seen them concede 13 goals over those four losses.
The U's (19th – 20 points): Are one place behind Cheltenham, but have notched four points from their last two, with a 0-0 draw against Wimbledon coming after a 1-0 win over York. Striker John Campbell has signed from Jarrow Roofing after netting 24 goals in 19 games for the non-league club.
Hartlepool United v Wycombe Wanderers
Pools (24th – 12 points): It's now no wins in six for Hartlepool, who have lost five of those, after going down 3-1 to York. They have the division's worst home form with one victory in nine outings, but signed Matteo Lanzoni and Matthew Dolan on loan this week.
The Chairboys (1st – 35 points): Got back to winning ways and returned to the summit last time out by beating Cheltenham 4-1. They have the best away form in Sky Bet League 2 with 20 points collected over nine trips on the road.
Five on the bounce: Wycombe have registered five successive victories against Hartlepool. The North East club last beat the Chairboys in April 2007.
Luton Town v Mansfield Town
The Hatters (3rd – 34 points): Saw their 11-game undefeated run come to an end at Burton last time out, where they lost 1-0. John Still's side have notched six wins on the spin at home, scoring 10 goals over that period and conceding just once.
The Stags (17th – 22 points): Caretaker manager Adam Murray led the club to their first triumph in nine games in his first match in charge last weekend, against Plymouth, but they've only tasted success on the road once so far. Left-sided player Junior Brown has signed on loan from Oxford United.
League reunion: Mansfield and Luton haven't met in The Football League since March 2003. Since then, they've played each other eight times in the Conference.
Plymouth Argyle v York City
The Pilgrims (6th – 30 points): That defeat to Mansfield ended Plymouth's seven-match run without a loss. That good run has seen them move into the Play-Off positions and they have won seven of nine at home, conceding just two goals. Left-back Ben Purrington could return to the squad after recovering from injury.
The Minstermen (20th – 18 points): Remain towards the bottom of League 2 but have won two of their last three, including last weekend against rock-bottom Hartlepool. Carlton Morris has signed on loan from Norwich.
Four: York ran out 4-0 winners at Home Park last season, with goals from John McCombe (2), Wes Fletcher and Josh Carson.
Shrewsbury Town v Burton Albion
The Shrews (4th – 33 points): Had won six on the bounce before suffering a 3-2 loss to Exeter last Saturday. They've won eight of nine at Greenhous Meadow, drawing the other game, to possess Sky Bet League 2's best home form with 25 points from nine outings.
The Brewers (2nd – 35 points): Back-to-back wins under new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has seen Burton rise to second and level on points with leaders Wycombe. Dutch defender Kelvin Maynard has joined the club while Norwich goalkeeper Remi Matthews has signed on loan.
Ninth time lucky? Burton are yet to get the better of Shrewsbury after eight league meetings. The Shrews have won five, with the other three ending level.
Southend United v Northampton Town
The Blues (5th – 31 points): Three wins on the spin has cemented Southend's place in the Play-Off positions, but they've only found the net 19 times which is the joint-lowest in the top half of League 2. They beat Northampton 2-0 last season at Roots Hall, and lead the overall head-to-head record in the league 41-40, alongside 26 draws.
The Cobblers (14th – 24 points): Have won two of their last three, to improve their form after a dismal run of four consecutive defeats in October. Defender Kelvin Langmead made his first start since March 2013 in their 1-0 victory over Stevenage, so should continue at the back. Ollie Banks has signed on loan from Chesterfield to add power to the midfield.
Familiar faces: Northampton have loaned John-Joe O'Toole to Southend and the midfielder is eligible to play against his parent club. He could partner another former Cobbler, Gary Deegan, in the heart of the Blues' midfield, after the former Coventry player signed a new deal at Roots Hall.
Stevenage v Morecambe
Boro (15th – 24 points): Their 1-0 reverse at Northampton came after thumping Cheltenham 5-1, so they will be looking to recapture that form. Striker Ryan Brunt has signed on loan from Bristol Rovers while Lee Barnard has extended his spell from Southend.
The Shrimps (11th – 26 points): Have lost three of their most recent four after going down 3-0 to Portsmouth most recently. Their record against Stevenage doesn't make good reading having failed to beat Boro since September 2005 when both clubs were non-league.
Tranmere Rovers v Portsmouth
Rovers (23rd – 12 points): Struggling Rovers haven't picked up three points for 13 outings – their most recent win was in late August against Morecambe. They had shared the points on three consecutive occasions, before defeats to Luton and Southend.
Pompey (10th – 26 points): Have alternated between wins and defeats over their last six outings, after seeing off Morecambe 3-0 a week ago. Despite being just outside the Play-Offs, Andy Awford's men have struggled on the road, with one win in nine away trips.
