The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for October.
Kwesi Appiah (Cambridge United)Appiah netted three goals and claimed two assists in the October, contributing to a productive month of his loan from Crystal Palace. A cool finish against Cheltenham Town was bettered by a brilliant individual run and rising shot in the 5-1 win over Oxford United.
Mark Cullen (Luton Town)
The 22-year-old made the most of his starts in October with five goals in as many games, including the perfect hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.
Carl McHugh (Plymouth Argyle)
The former Gaelic football player has made another impressive switch recently, from left-back to a role as the central man in a back three which didn’t concede a goal in October, partly due to his goal-line block against Carlisle United.
Brad Potts (Carlisle United)
Carlisle’s up-turn in form can be partly attributed to the form of 20-year-old Potts, whose elegant play from midfield helped the Cumbrian side score 11 goals in five games. He netted two of them.
The winners will be announced on Friday.
