Preston North End boss Simon Grayson has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month for October.
Grayson guided North End to six consecutive wins in the month and that extended their overall run to eight straight victories.Sky Sports’ Football League pundit Don Goodman said: “It doesn’t get better than a 100 per cent record, and Grayson’s North End side were unstoppable in October.
“They narrowed the gap on league leaders Bristol City to two points with their sixth consecutive win, away at Leyton Orient.”
Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery said: “After previously winning promotion from Sky Bet League 1 with Blackpool, Leeds and Huddersfield, Grayson is in a great position to win this honour again.
“Simon struck a perfect balance between attacking prowess and defensive solidarity last month.”
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Manager of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
