Burton Albion manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink hailed his team's performance after they secured a 3-1 win at Wycombe Wanderers in his first match in charge.
The Chairboys went into this match with a chance of going back to the top of Sky Bet League 2 but a clinical display by the Brewers allowed them to move level on points with their opponents.Hasselbaink said: "It's a great way to start, I'm very happy with the start and I'm very happy with the performance.
"Let's not just look at the result; look at the performance - it was very good.
"I'm very happy with the determination and the commitment and it's very important to take that forward - you saw today that they are willing.
"It was solid, we worked well together and we worked very hard, matched Wycombe with our work-rate - we knew that was going to be key - and we did our stages really, really well.
"We want to take it [push for promotion] as far as possible. Step by step we want to go all the way and then we build again to go all the way.
"We're going to fight for it, but it's not something that we talk about. It's about taking one game at a time and trying to improve game by game."
