Jamie O'Hara earns Blackpool deal

6 November 2014

Former Wolves and Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara is back in football after agreeing to join Blackpool on a deal until January.

The 28-year-old, who almost joined the Seasiders this time last year, was a free agent after leaving Wolves in the summer.

O'Hara has played just 40 minutes of Sky Bet League One football in the past two seasons and will not feature for the Tangerines in Wednesday night's clash at Fulham.

Blackpool's latest recruit follows Jonathan Legear and Jacob Murphy in moving to Bloomfield Road this week as new boss Lee Clark bids to stamp his mark on the team bottom of the table.

"I'm delighted this opportunity came along, Lee Clark gave me a call and I jumped at the opportunity," O'Hara told the club's official website.

"I'm desperate to get back on the football pitch.

"I'm really happy to be on board and hopefully I can help the team get some points on the board quickly."

O'Hara began his career at Tottenham and enjoyed loan spells with Chesterfield, Millwall, Portsmouth and Wolves before moving to the latter in a big-money move in 2011.

However, after Wolves suffered back-to-back relegations, he found himself surplus to requirements under Kenny Jackett last season.
