Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink suffered a blow in his first training session as Burton Albion boss when goalkeeper Dean Lyness was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken leg.
The 23-year-old recently returned to the starting line-up in place of summer signing Jon McLaughlin, playing in the last two matches.Hasselbaink told Sky Sports News: "It was an unfortunate accident, two players in a collision and he's broken his leg. Everything went so well in training, they all looked sharp and this was just a freak accident.
"He was doing well, he was back in the team so I feel sorry for him."
The Brewers travel to face League 2 leaders Wycombe on Monday, before facing second-placed Luton and third-placed Shrewsbury in the next two fixtures.
